The IndiComm Team has purchased video and photo cameras, mics and other equipment for students to use in projects.
Using this equipment is a privilege, and you take on full responsibility while you have any equipment it in your possession.
If we do not have an <Equipment Responsibility Agreement> on file for you, you will be asked to sign this form before you can check out any equipment.
Step 1: Discuss the Project and Equipment Needed with Your Supervisor
Work with your supervisor to:
- create a plan for the project
- determine the equipment you’ll need
- set a timeline
You must have approval from your supervisor before you can check out any equipment.
Step 2: Check Out the Equipment with a Staff Member
Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis. Mollee, Elizabeth or Sarah will unlock the equipment chest and help you complete the Check Out Sheet.
Make sure that you take note of the due date for returning the equipment. If you do not return items on time, you may lose the privilege to check out equipment.
Step 3: Take Very Good Care of the Equipment
Be careful with the equipment while you are completing the project.
- Do not leave equipment unattended
- Double-check that you have all the pieces before leaving the photo/video shoot area
- Keep equipment inside protective cases when not in use
You are responsible for any damage or missing items once you take possession of the equipment.
Step 4: Return the Equipment to a Staff Member
Mollee, Elizabeth or Sarah will return items to the equipment chest and help you complete the check in section of the form.
Once equipment has been handed over to a staff member, they are now responsible for any damage or missing items.
