The WSU Web Platform Standards govern the expected practices for maintaining the WSU website. This is to ensure that the university website serves as an effective communication tool in accordance with the Web Platform Strategy and other Brand Standards.
However, websites are always changing, audience expectations evolve, and new technologies develop. The University Marketing & Communications team (MarComm) reserves the right to modify or make exceptions to these standards at any time and without prior notice.

MarComm ensures that the public website meets accessibility compliance standards through routine scans and proactive assessment during web development and content updates.
WSU is required to comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as well as several Minnesota State Statutes. The current minimum accessibility standards for electronic files and digital content are WCAG 2.0 Level A & AA.
